Busan, South KoreaJeon Jung-kook was 13 when he auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment, having turned down offers from six other companies including SM, JYP, and Starship. He moved to Seoul from Busan at 14 to train — younger than almost any K-pop trainee of comparable later success — and debuted with BTS at 15. His voice has evolved across the group's decade of releases from a lighter tone to a richer, more powerful instrument. His solo single 'Seven' became the fastest single ever to reach 100 million Spotify streams. He completed mandatory military service in 2024.
Tattooing — he has extensive personal tattoo work and has spoken about the craft as a serious interest — weightlifting, painting, and cooking late-night meals for fellow BTS members.
