ABOUT

BELIFT LAB's seven-member group — a joint venture between HYBE and CJ ENM — debuted in 2020 after forming through the I-Land survival show. Known for their dark, narrative-driven concept and consistent million-seller album releases, they completed a sold-out world tour in 2024 and have the fastest-growing fanbase among HYBE's fourth-generation acts.

THE MEMBERS

Jungwon

Goyang, South Korea

Yang Jung-won was chosen as ENHYPEN's leader by group vote during I-Land — a structure-defining moment that gave him legitimacy and responsibility simultaneously. He is one of the most analytically self-aware group leaders in fourth-generation K-pop, frequently discussing his approach to leadership in interviews. His clean dance technique is central to ENHYPEN's performance identity.

Beyond K-pop

Cooking — he prepares meals for members and documents recipes — sport, particularly badminton and swimming, and listening to music across multiple genres.

Heeseung

Gangwon-do, South Korea

Lee Hee-seung is ENHYPEN's most multi-skilled performer — he sings, raps, and dances at a level that, for any other group, would define a single dedicated role. He trained at Big Hit Entertainment for four years before joining I-Land, making him one of the longest-trained members at debut. His bass-tinged voice and technical precision are primary components of ENHYPEN's live sound.

Beyond K-pop

Music production (he works in DAWs and has expressed interest in publishing solo material), guitar, gaming, and gym training.

Jay

Seattle, United States (Korean-American)

Park Jongseong grew up in Seattle, Washington and is ENHYPEN's most fluent English speaker. His Korean-American upbringing — fluent in both cultures, fully committed to neither at the expense of the other — gives him a bridging quality in international media. He applied to I-Land after a period of conventional life in the US and has been candid about the disruption and risk that decision represented.

Beyond K-pop

Basketball — he plays seriously and brings it up in nearly every casual conversation — music listening across hip-hop and R&B, and cooking.

Jake

Brisbane, Australia (Korean-Australian)

Shim Jaeyun grew up in Brisbane and discovered K-pop through YouTube dance cover culture. He applied to multiple global auditions and was accepted by BELIFT. His Australian accent in English — warm and endearing — contrasts with the group's otherwise austere image and has made him a fan favourite internationally. He is ENHYPEN's most openly sentimental member.

Beyond K-pop

Guitar (he plays acoustic and has performed covers publicly), drawing, and outdoor activities that reflect his Queensland upbringing.

Sunghoon

Gangneung, South Korea

Park Sung-hoon was a competitive figure skater before entering K-pop, representing Gangwon Province in national junior competitions. The physical discipline and balance that figure skating requires — invisible in its difficulty, visible in its results — underlies his exceptional movement quality. He is ENHYPEN's most visually striking member and one of the most consistently discussed visuals of his K-pop generation.

Beyond K-pop

Figure skating (he continues to train and has performed on ice at fan events), fashion — he models independently of group activities — and cooking.

Sunoo

Seoul, South Korea

Kim Sun-woo's smile — open, genuine, and apparently irrepressible — became one of the most discussed individual features across the entire I-Land series. His warmth, emotional transparency, and uncomplicated joy in performance are rare qualities in fourth-generation K-pop, which trends toward cool restraint. He brings a consistent lightness to ENHYPEN's often dark musical identity.

Beyond K-pop

Cooking — he is among the most enthusiastic cooks in the group — watching variety entertainment, and caring for friends and members.

Ni-ki

Okayama, Japan

Nishimura Riki was 13 when he joined I-Land and 14 when he debuted with ENHYPEN — among the youngest debuts of any fourth-generation boy group member. He is a former Japanese dance competition champion whose technique at debut was already considered world-class by professional standards. As a Japanese member, he represents a continuation of the Japan-to-Korea K-pop pipeline that groups like TWICE and aespa helped establish.

Beyond K-pop

Dance across styles beyond K-pop (he watches and studies contemporary and hip-hop performances globally), gaming, and Japanese food culture.
