ABOUT

YG Entertainment's globally dominant quartet debuted in 2016 and became the first K-pop girl group to headline Coachella in 2023. Their Deadline World Tour in 2025 confirmed their status as the highest-grossing girl group in live concert history, with each member holding a separate luxury fashion house ambassadorship.

THE MEMBERS

Jisoo

Jisoo

Seoul, South Korea

Kim Ji-soo was scouted by YG Entertainment in 2011 while still in high school. She trained for five years — among the longest training periods of any BLACKPINK member — before debuting as the group's eldest member and visual at 21. Beyond music, Jisoo pursued acting and starred as the lead in the Korean drama Snowdrop in 2021, earning her the title of BLACKPINK's most prominent multi-hyphenate. She launched her solo career in 2023 with the single 'Flower', which debuted at number one on Korea's Circle Chart.

Beyond K-pop

A devoted painter who frequently shares her artwork on social media, a collector of contemporary Korean art, and an enthusiastic student of traditional Korean literature and poetry.

Jennie

Jennie

Seoul, South Korea (schooled in New Zealand)

Jennie Kim spent her formative school years in New Zealand, which gave her native-level English fluency and a Western pop perspective that distinguishes her within BLACKPINK. She became a YG trainee in 2010 at age 14, training for six years before debut. BLACKPINK's only rapper-vocalist hybrid, she debuted her solo career with 'SOLO' in 2018 — it reached number one in Korea and charted in 26 countries. She is a Chanel global ambassador and one of the most photographed women in contemporary fashion.

Beyond K-pop

An avid home cook who documents her meals, a passionate fashion collector with a focus on archival pieces, and a dog lover who frequently features her Maltese on social media.

Rosé

Rosé

Auckland, New Zealand (raised in Melbourne, Australia)

Park Chaeyoung was self-taught on guitar and singing in church choirs in Melbourne before being discovered at a YG Australia open audition in 2012. She moved alone to Seoul at 15, not yet fluent in Korean, and trained for four years. Her distinctive voice — bright and airy in its upper register, raw and emotional at full volume — became BLACKPINK's sonic signature. Her solo album 'rosie' (2024) and the Bruno Mars collaboration 'APT.' made her the first BLACKPINK member to achieve a major Western pop crossover.

Beyond K-pop

Guitar, songwriting (she co-wrote several tracks on rosie), cooking, interior design, and reading contemporary literary fiction.

Lisa

Lisa

Buriram, Thailand

Lalisa Manoban grew up in Buriram, a small city in northeastern Thailand, and began dancing seriously at age four. At 14, she entered a YG Entertainment open audition in Thailand and was the only candidate — out of approximately 4,000 — to be accepted. She moved to Seoul without speaking Korean and became the first non-Korean BLACKPINK member. Her solo debut 'LALISA' (2021) broke YouTube records, amassing over 73 million views in 24 hours, and she has since built one of K-pop's most visible solo careers.

Beyond K-pop

Dance across multiple disciplines (her street dance and waacking skills go far beyond K-pop requirements), fashion design, painting, and Thai cuisine.
